“Sending emails and data are often on separate platforms and require downloading and uploading spreadsheets of data…I wasn’t a fan and it got in the way of progress.”
The challenge
Finding good quality data for a reasonable price was one of the challenges for Christopher. Prior to using Sales.Rocks finding accurate data was either expensive or time-consuming, and if it wasn't either of those, the data was incredibly inaccurate and resulted in more bounces than expected. On top of that, he sends emails with merge tags, which didn't quite work for him, due to the usage of different platforms. The ultimate challenge for him was a request from a client, who imports raw ingredients into the UK in huge volumes, to find new customers for them and penetrate a tricky market.
How it worked
The Company search was his first step, finding as many companies as possible that the client could supply to. These were mostly in the manufacturing industry. After playing with the filters and checking through the data he built a list of around 1,000 potential customers that use the ingredients his client supplies. He also uploaded data from other tools but used the Email Verifier to check the validity of the emails. After checking the list and adding a few more contacts, he built an email sequence, which in this instance contained only 1 email, but would be sent to 50 contacts a day from 2 email accounts.
