Sales outreach is the process of contacting potential customers to create engagement and generate new business.

Common channels for sales outreach are email, calling or social media.

There are two types of sales outreach:

Cold outreach is the process of reaching out to prospects for instance through cold email or cold calling without previous contact from the representative. This method is typically used for new customer acquisition.

Warm Outreach is the process of reaching out to prospects with whom a sales representative had been in contact previously. This type of outreach is common for engaging prospects who are in the lower stages of the sales funnel and have higher chances to buy in comparison with other prospects.
